I took this picture from the train, heading North, on our way back to Osaka from Wakayama. Nice late summer sunset.

Mihoko and I spent the entire day at a beach in Wakayama prefecture in the town of Kata, a small fishing town about the size of Cordova...mmm maybe smaller. Mihoko helped some little kid catch crabs in the tidepools while I swam. After drying off, I set up the camera, hit the timer, and managed to jump down next to Mihoko for this shot just in time. Made it back to Wakayama city afterwards, changed trains and took the above sunset shot about 20 minutes outside of Osaka prefecture.

Umeda, Osaka is the biggest train terminus in the city. 3 Major Subways, 3 Major Train Companies, More Than 30 Train Routes to Choose From..also the Major Dept. Store Hub of Osaka. The entire area has underground passages filled with shops and restaurants..zigging zagging itersecting like the tunnels of an industrial termite mound. I walk by this place nearly every day. Amazing I don't get lost more often.
