Had the day off November 13, 02. Nagashima SpaLand (amusement/water park) - 20 minutes outside Nagoya City, Between Osaka and Toyko. We went there in the daytime, about 2 hours from Osaka, and rode the infamous Steel Dragon four times. Rode every coaster we could and then went to the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Nagoya. Big venue but some good stuff considering the location. Had a 6:30am wake up call the next morning. The Shinkansen -Bullet Train, on the way back, cruised to Osaka via Kyoto in just 1 Hr. Cruisy little liner; the Mountains had snow on the tops near Maibara, nice fall colors in the Maibara valley.
